The weekly meeting of the Central Committee of the CGC2023 Congress was held on May 31, 2022 at the Council of Biotechnology Development. In this meeting, the scientific (Dr. Mowla) and executive (Dr. Ebrahimi) secretaries of the Congress announced the completion of the first phase of the implementation planning of the Congress and described the measures taken in the first phase of the Congress as follows:
1. Establishment of scientific and commercial secretariats
2. Launching homepage and social networks of the congress.
3. Attracting the participation of 14 national and foreign scientific societies.
4. Formation of Scientific, Executive, Media and Communication, Commercial, and International affairs Committees.
5. Finalizing Congress’s logo and poster.
According to the suggestions of the scientific and executive secretaries of the Congress, and recommendations of Dr.Ghanei, President of the Congress, the following activities were highlighted as the main aims for the second phase of the congress implementation:
- Attracting the maximum number of audience for the congress.
- performing theoretical and practical workshops.
- Announcing the students’ research ideas festival.
- sending invitation letters to the foreign scientific societies and individulas.
- Evaluating the possibility of launching an international journal in the field of cancer omics.
- Prepration to launch a Cancer Omics Research Center.
